UK Airports - BRATISLAVA Airport

There are frequent flights from many UK airports with the no-frills airlines. Visit ryanair for flights from London Stansted, London Luton, Bristol, Birmingham, East Midlands, Dublin, or Edinburgh. Flight time is only 2 hours.
Upon arrival a taxi or bus will get you to the train station, where regular trains run from Bratislava.  Full info will be supplied by us once you have approx. flight arrangements.

LONDON/LUTON - POPRAD Airport

Poprad Tatry Airport is just 55km (40 minutes) away from Chalet Slovakia.
Three airlines are in talks to take on this winters' UK flights.  Flights are set to go live in early summer.  We'll keep you posted.  Watch this space...

Transfers to and from Poprad are free with every 7-day holiday in our private minibus. 

UK Airports - VIENNA Airport

Fly to Vienna with BA or Easy Jet and catch the InterCity train directly from Vienna to Liptovsky Mikulas. Train times can be found here (Wein to Liptovsky Mikulas).

Train Information

Shuttle buses (no.61) run directly from Bratislava Airport to Bratislava Hlavna Train Station every 20 minutes at €0.60.
Bus tickets can be brought at the arrivals information desk with Euros and buses leave from directly outside the small arrival terminal, alternatively taxis are approximately €15.

There is an excellent train service from Bratislava Hlavna Station which runs directly to Liptovsky Mikulas station regularly throughout the day.
Each way costs approximately €12 (£10.00) or €18 (£15) 1st class.

From Liptovsky Mikulas station we will personally collect you and bring you to the Chalet.

You can book your train ticket on line at ZSSK. The website gives full information, and via email you can arrange ticket purchases.

Please leave at least 40 mins to get from the airport to the station if travelling by bus.

UK Airports - KRAKOW Airport   

Krakow, Poland is a three hour drive from the Tatras with flights leaving from Stansted, Glasgow, Liverpool, East Midlands, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Dublin and Shannon (Ryanair) Luton, Bristol (Easyjet) and also with Wizz Air. 

You may need to arrange car hire or private transport as there is no direct public bus or train route over the Tatra mountains. Transfers can be arranged with us (see below) Please contact for more info.

Private transfers

Transfers from Bratislava and Krakow airports are available with ChaletSlovakia for £25 p/p each way (minimum 4), but please check availability in advance before booking your flight.
If you wish to hire a car hertz can arrange car pick up at either airport.
The Chalet has has secure off-street parking for up to 3 cars.
