CAVE TOURS

Just 7km from Chalet Slovakia the outlandish natural sculptures of the Demanovska cave system lie buried in a timeless subterranean world. It is the largest cave system in Slovakia and part of a huge network that runs through the Low Tatras, with 2km of its 8km available to the public. Two cave systems are open to the public the first being the Cave of Liberty and the second the Ice caves. Bring a hat; temperature is a steady 6° Celsius. 

A few metres from The Cave of Liberty is Demonova's ice-cave;one of only a few accessible to the public in the world.  Famous for it's Ice-bear bones which were found here; initially thought to be those of dragons... The caves are open from May through to October, while the Cave of Liberty is open all year round (closed on Mondays).
